Dr. Misty J. Brown was born in Hereford, Texas, and was raised in Dalhart and Fort Worth where she attended Fort Worth Country Day and enjoyed successful golf and basketball careers, earning multiple awards and scholarship offers. She chose to solely focus on her childhood dream of being a dentist. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree a year early from Baylor University, then a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. She was president of the honor council, Vice president of her Dental Class, and a Charter member of the Hispanic Dental Society. Immediately after dental school, she built her successful practice in the heart of Keller, Texas where she had an in-house dental lab and full-time daycare for her team for 24 years. The responsibilities that come with small business ownership taught her many things, but she chose to sell her private practice a few years ago to simplify her life. She’s able to focus and enjoy her daughter and continued care for her patients in the city of Fort Worth. Her daughter Samantha, a decorated Cadet at the prestigious New York Military transferred into Culver Academies/Culver Military Academy in Indiana where she’s on the rowing team. Watching her daughter participate in the rigorous team sport of rowing is her proudest moment yet! She and her family are animal lovers; they have a reining horse named Dandy, and loving dogs. Outside of work, she is a competitive sporting clay shooter and loves to read. She is honored to care for her beloved Mother Judy, who taught Bible Study Fellowship for 35 years. Dr. Brown dedicated a book to her Mother and recently signed with an agent and publisher to release 3 books she has completed writing.
